This Privacy Policy establishes the terms in which MonkeyChat interacts with the data in the mobile app. MonkeyChat is a tool to interact with AI models using custom API keys provided by the users themselves. MonkeyChat does not provide authentication features and does not collect, upload, store or share personal data in our servers or third party servers.
MonkeyChat does not collect personal information from users. The app works locally on the user's device and only performs HTTP requests directly to the AI provider selected and configured by the user.
MonkeyChat allows users to configure their own API keys to access AI models. These API keys are stored locally on the device using encrypted secure storage provided by the operating system through Flutter Secure Storage.
The API keys are never uploaded, shared or transmitted to our servers because MonkeyChat does not operate any backend server for user data storage.
MonkeyChat allows users to send messages to third party AI providers through their own APIs. The requests are sent directly from the user's device to the selected AI provider using the API key configured by the user.
Once the request is sent to the selected AI provider, the handling of the information is subject to the privacy policy and terms of service of that provider. MonkeyChat is not responsible for how third party AI providers process or store the information sent to them.
MonkeyChat requires internet access exclusively to send HTTP requests to AI provider APIs selected by the user. Apart from these direct requests initiated by the user, MonkeyChat does not send any analytics, tracking or background data.
MonkeyChat does not include ads, advertising SDKs or tracking systems.
MonkeyChat does not collect or store personal information on external servers because the app works directly between the user's device and the selected AI provider APIs.
All conversations, configured models and API keys remain under the control of the user on the local device, except for the information intentionally sent by the user to third party AI providers through API requests.
MonkeyChat reserves the right to change the terms of this Privacy Policy at any time.
